Death Note in a nutshell, for now.

Feeling: good-spirited
Listening to: "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" - John Mayer

Death Note is no doubt a complex story. It's the type of story that challenges you to continue, teasing you. With every episode, it gives you another reason to be curious about what could happen next. And with every episode, it bets even higher. Basically, the story gets even more interesting and exciting as the story unravels. I don't think I've ever watched or read such a... serious story. Angel Sanctuary, although claiming to be dark, is much more humor-filled, and is no comparison to Death Note. Death Note has more of an effect simply by the fact that its setting is set in what we would call our daily life. In other words, it has... more of a effect. Gah, here I am repeating myself!

Despite those facts... I can't help but like the story. The characters are realistic and human-like, in some cases, as freaky as that may sound... Especially if you get to know one of the main characters, Light Yagami, a twisted, extremely clever, manipulating high school teenager. I don't think I'd be still following the story if it wasn't for the fact that it is so intriguing and... intriguing? Captivating?

What I think I am trying to say is.. wow. This is some story! Creepy, freaky, but awesome nonetheless.

Changing the subject a little, I don't think I have made so many screenshots to fill half of my desktop in a while. Seriously! Death Note has some really nice artwork. <3

Death Note? A new obsession, perhaps?

Death Note is a story, in manga or in anime, that I have always been curious about, but never had the courage to actually read or watch it. Coincidentally I came across some screenshots of the anime today, which made me even more curious, so I searched for it on You Tube. And I found it... Still not convinced if I should watch it or not, I read a review of the manga, which gave me the gist of the story. The review reassured me, so I watched the 1st episode.

And I liked it. It totally creeped me out.

The first thing that I noticed was the subtle background music that made a slight creepy atmosphere. The animations is also very nicely done. Besides that, the voice actor who does Raito Yagami, one of the main characters in the beginning, sounds like Tamaki from Ouran Host Club. I know, it's strange, but it does! And after seeing the whole episode, I am sure of it! That's awesome! <3

Not to mention that there are some creepy and complex characters taking place here. Despite that, they don't cease to be charming, like Ryuk, a shinigami, or a demon of death. He's actually funny!

The ending of the 1st episode kind of creeped me out the most, though. Light is waaay twisted, and for once I am not swooning over such a character at first sight. He's cool, but morbid. Good-looking, but not as cool as someone like Kadaj. <3 XD But who knows. Maybe there's chance I'll like him more later...

P.S. I only didn't explain the story since I expect you guys to take a look at the review, har har.

[EDITED: Just saw the 2nd episode. It is comfirmed. I am hooked. <3 ]

New layout once again

At first, when I switched my main blog to the new Blogger system, I was almost regretting it when I realized that I wouldn't be able to find other templates besides the ones that Blogger offers with the same coding that the Blogger beta. uses. But AHA! I realized that I still have my skill of editing templates and making them my own, so that is what I have done! New layout, totally candy colorful, 'sorry. I wanted something colorful and uplifting, and still silly enough to be me. Makes me think of a amusement park. The suttle pictures of manga characters are from an awesome manga called Yakitate! Japan.

The horror...

Feeling: GAH

My neck hurts. Why didn't I realize earlier it would have been so much easier and less painless to go through the big needle that's holding the whole knitted shoulder with a smaller needle, instead of straining my back, neck, and nerves by taking out the whole line of hoops and going through it with the needle, risking the tremendous possibility that one little hoop would fall apart (which did, and it really freaked me out for a sec). Why?! Why didn't I have the brains to only realize that on the other shoulder piece?! Sometimes I can be so slow to the obvious.

YEAH.

That must have just really confused you, right? Well, let me explain better. What I struggled through was this:

Yes, I have that much nerve to draw that! And yes, you have to click on it! >:D BWAHAHAHA.

Just to say I'm alive.

Feeling: sick

I got back yesterday from my trip very tired. On those 4 to 5 days traveling, I got very little sleep, which must have made me get sick on the last day. Now I have a slight cough, sniffles, and all that other stuff that comes with a cold.

I'd love to show you the huge amount of pictures I have to show, videos, and the things I have to tell about the island and the ship, etcetra, but I am extrememly tired right now to really use my head. *cough*using the computer doesn't require for my brain to be used*cough* Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better and then I'll post about my trip. All I can say right now was that it was worth it, despite its ups and downs (I did not get sea-sick once!), but I'm also very glad to be back home.
