Bloggers are fun!

And I only found out today that Adam Young from Owl City had his own blog-- and don't go thinkin' it's one of those NEWS blogs. He actually WRITES and it is one of the most quirky and adorable and inspiring and amusing little blog I have had the pleasure to read in a while.

Of course, it helps that I was already a fan of his music-- but nonetheless! He's even more adorable in his musings. D8 Darn him, he is so cute.

But seriously, the dude can write. I wish I was so good with fancy words and all. You know how people can write so well that it just makes sense? It just clicks with you? Well, that's how he comes across to me in his blog.

Sorry for sounding like such a fangirl. It just came out.

Check it out: Owl City Blog

Cake and music .-.

Listening to: "Stardust" - Michael Bublé with Naturally 7
So I was looking up tour dates for either Michael Bublé or John Mayer since I thought: Hey, since I'll be in the US now, I should take advantage of the perks! These two guys are the only ones possibly capable of making me stand in a huge crowd for hours, I think. Yes, they are completely different but I love them!

Anyway, for the bazillion locations that there are on both websites they only have TWO CITIES in Florida. Seriously, that is so cruel! And then when I thought I found something close by -- Tampa, for a John Mayer concert -- it's for September and I'll be busy with college already.  AAAAH. No fair! ;3; The only other option was a MB concert in Jacksonville, which is like more than 5 hours drive from Miami, according to Google Maps -- plus it's in July, which is shortly after I arrive from Brazil -- so that's already a no-go.

But... there will be other times, years to come -- I guess. It still sucks though.

My birthday's tomorrow. I made a cake this afternoon-- a chocolate cake. And I didn't burn it!! I swear, the very few times I've tried making a cake, I've always managed to burn it. Sadly, when I was making the frosting, I used the wrong type of butter/margarine and instead of becoming creamy it became a mix between sugar, milk and curd-like butter... so that part didn't work out. BUT! There is always hope in getting whip cream tomorrow morning, or if not -- I have ice-cream in the freezer! Either way, what's most important is that the cake wasn't a disaster! At least as far as appearances go.

what title should I put? ?_?;

I felt so inspired to study today. I did start a little later than I should have, and I had big hopes to be able to study Chemistry and a little bit of Biology, but I didn't even manage to study all of Chemistry. I'm just too slow...

I'm not going to let myself get stressed out yet, though. That has been my strategy lately-- no stress! Stress leads you to ruin, at times. Or panicking.

I'm a hard working student at some times, but lazy in comparison to some others. Daddy-o says I should not just focus on studying. And he's right! But I have such a hard time on trying to do my best on school while focusing on other things. In that sense I'm not a good multi-tasker.

Yeck, why do I always start with school t-t As if it it'll be so important to me in the next couple years, right? But I have this complex that tells me I need to prove myself capable. Me dad only wants me to pass, and so do I, but I want to pass with good grades, with great grades. Not just okay grades. ~_~

Nya, whatever. I have to figure out a balance somehow. I need to keep school out of this blog somehow. It eats up all my posts and takes out all the quirkiness.

Speaking of quirkiness-- check out a band called The Boy Least Likely To. They are very cool and sweet and odd! Sadly I haven;t been able to find all the songs I wanted for download. Go to their website.

One recommendation is "Every Goliath Has Its David". A lot of their songs are so happy and cute. Some songs can get their dark side too, though. But seriously, take a look! Another song that's great as well, and more easy to find, is "Be Gentle with Me". And well-- the others ones are awesome too! -->(Balloon On A Broken String!) Too bad they don't have all the songs of their new album on the site. ;o One reviewer said that if your plushies and teddybears started a band, these would be the songs they'd be singing. XD

Oh and of course they are British. Good ol' brits make good music, interesting and creative stuff-- let's admit it!

Ramble-y post. Not what I wanted. And it's 9PM AHHHH!!! ToT I have to be ready by 9:30 for bed.
I sound like such a kid here, lol.

Michael B.

I still say Michael Bublé has one of the MOST sweetest jazzy voices ever. Someone commented on a song, saying that his voice is like "butter sizling on a frying pan". I totally agree, haha. <3

Go here to witness his gorgeous voice.

If there isn't nobody that is SOMEBODY that can totally make me giddy, then it is Michael Bublé and his gorgeous voice. I just love them to pieces! Especially his new album: Call Me Irresponsible. Buy it now!

NOW NOW NOW NOW. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. THIS MAN'S VOICE CAN MELT CHEESY ROMANTIC GIRLIES' HEARTS.

UM.

My eyes are heavy and my shoulders are slouching. I am showing every sign of being tired, but I want to be stubborn and stay up just a bit longer. I have to post about something. Anything. Now that I am so busy with school and homework, I feel I must write/post as often as possible, more than now than ever. School stress is getting to me already.

I don't know what to do other than ramble right now. Lately, I haven't had much time to be creative, and only time to do homework, study, plus some eating and sleeping. Just the thought that tomorrow is Sunday and after that is once again Monday is extremely daunting, since I had yet again school today. I can't wait till this whole saturday deal is over.

Like usual, music continues to feed my brain with creative ideas... and keeps my spirits up with whatever that may be irritating me. Just today, as I sat in chair in the classroom waiting for the next teacher to come, I took my MP3 player and started listening. It made the fact that I was at school seem unimportant, as I watched people chatter, joke, play games, and attempt to sleep.

I saw a movie called "Music & Lyrics" in the theaters. It features that one british guy who by no means I find good-looking. Not to say he isn't good-looking at all, but his general facial expression is strange, 'dunno. Anyway, it was sort of funny.

....OK. Nevermind. Forget this post. I'll scratch something else better tomorrow, I hope.

Music is food for thought.

Listening to: "Warning" - Angela Aki

I’ll take love from the bottle and I won’t choke on the throttle

I’ll lay pads on the ground before I jump off a building

So does this mean I’m going to live?

This song is like a soothing melody to my ears. Angela Aki has a wonderful voice, strong, harminious voice, which mixes together perfectly with the piano she plays. Her voice manages not only to be nice to the ears, but also capable to express the strong emotions her songs express.

Listening to this song makes me feel... how should I put it? It makes me feel nostalgic, even though I have nothing to be nostalgic about. It makes me smile thoughtfully. It makes me sad. It makes me feel bitter-sweet. I love songs that do that. It's a song that has a mysterious grip on your heart, that makes you wonder: Am I to cry or laugh?

Sometimes music suddenly makes me become very thoughtful. Don't you just love it?
