Late update (John Mayer alert!)

OK, I won't be able to mention much in detail at this very moment, but I'll try and mention the basic details. ...And before I say anything else, I must announce one thing:

I found out last night on my twitter (something I go to very rarely when I'm seriously bored) that John Mayer will be playing in West Palm Beach on Sept. 11th! And there's still seats available! (sadly not front row, though.) It was already past midnight when I saw the video-message from JM. I almost thought it was a joke. My dad was already asking me once again to go to sleep and I seriously didn't think I would be able to because I was so excited. West Palm Beach is only a 2 hour drive from Miami!

Even though the ticket's pricy, I reeeeaaaalllly want to buy a seat anyway. (This is coming from a stingy person when it comes to spending money.) Who knows when's the next time I'll be able to go to his concert!

Honestly, that made my night yesterday. /o/

Now, onto more boring things:

• I've been in Miami for almost 2 weeks now. Still in a motel with my dad until we have found and decided on a temporary apartment. That aspect has been a bit of a pain.

• I've finished my registration for MDC and already chose my classes. They're all in the afternoon! I mean, my classes. I can't see myself waking up who knows how early to go to a class starting 7AM or 8AM after this long vacation.

• Don't have a purchased car yet, because I still have to do the DMV exam. I think today I'll pay for the DATA course online (drug and traffic awareness course)... Yesterday for the second time, I learned a little bit on driving in my dad's car. We went to one of those big empty parking lots, but even so, I felt so nervous driving. Maybe 'cause my dad made such a darn serious examiner. I also realized yesterday that I still have a lot more to read on the DMV handbook. -_-

That's pretty much all I can tell you for now. I'm also trying to get rid of a cold I caught from my dad (which he hasn't gotten rid of yet haha). I miss Brazil, but I'm also liking the change. I can definitely see myself getting excited if I hear any people speaking portuguese here, though. Which already happened a couple days ago at the Apple store. :D

I'll try to post more soon.

Update

I’m terribly behind on this blog, it seems. So that I don’t drag out my thoughts aimlessly here, I’ll mention some things that have been on my mind:
  1. College life and the idea of my registration going wrong. See, I registered ages ago, like at the end of last year, I think. But there are still some loose ends to tie (college leveling test, registering for classes, etc) , which I can only do once I’m in Miami. And since I love to worry about possible scenarios, I can’t help but think something’ll back fire. I know there’s no point worrying, but what if I can’t register for the classes I want or need? What if there’s a space limit? What if a ton of people are going for computer animation as their major?! Ah well... time will tell I suppose. >;p
  2. Packing and ridding of junk. See, my dad wants to be completely mobile. In other words, we’re getting rid of pretty much everything we have except for things I wish to take with me to Miami and vice-versa for my dad. We’ve sold a lot of furniture already, thankfully. But there’s still a TON of stuff that’s just been hiding itself in the house and UGH I can’t wait to be over with it. I dread tomorrow and the amount of stuff I’ll have to go through. The good news though is that today I got my whole room pretty much wiped out -- that is, rid of junk. At least it isn’t as crazy-messy like it has been recently.
  3. Dragging on the topic above, I have this second suitcase which I’m suppose to use to figure what I can fit with things I feel I really want to take... and I had to go through it all again today (meaning I had to take out everything in that suitcase out) -- and it lead me to realizing I’ll have to ship all of my heavy books and comics in a box to Miami, while the other half I can take with me... IF I’M LUCKY and it doesn’t weigh too much. Seriously I can’t believe how much I have! Even with all the bazillion books, papers and other things I got rid of -- it’s still a lot!
  4. Also, on the topic of college: On videojug.com I discovered a fellow called Harlan Cohen, where he gives tips and advice regarding college. I found him so likable and funny that when I went to his website I found out he was also an author of several books, one of them being a guide on college life (“The Naked Roomate”) I immediately told my dad I wanted to buy once I was in the U.S.. Check out his two websites: The Naked Roomate and Help me Harlan!
  5. Oh, I might as well mention when I’ll be in Miami. I’ll be arriving during the first week of June, staying at a short term apartment until we find a long term rental that is to our liking and fits our budget. That may also be hindered/influenced by the possibility of Cristina coming to live with me in the late Fall of this year or the beginning of next year. Even though that has been a known possibility, my dad isn’t too keen on the idea now. We’ll see what happens in a couple months! We haven’t chosen a short term apartment yet -- hopefully me and me dad’ll have that done and over with finally tomorrow.
  6. Once in Miami I’ll start going to math review classes at the college. I don’t consider myself a total ignorant about math, I’m actually not that bad -- but going through almost six months without studying a whole lot of math (I honestly tried but it’s darn hard without no one pressuring you!), it tends to become a blur, even the things you use to be good at. So I need that  “refresh” button pressed in my brain!
  7. Uuuuh, I’m tired. I could talk about a lot of other things, but it’s gonna get late and I still need to get my bum in the shower. I’ll just finish this post saying I discovered this awesome web comic this morning and could not stop reading (unless I was forced to). It’s called Hanna is Not a Boy’s Name. This title doesn’t say everything, but it says great humor, which you’ll notice once reading it. At the beginning that may be what it seems, just humor -- but upon reading more it’s got a great set of characters and an interesting story. Not to mention humor!! (Sorry, I like things that make me laugh.) So check it out and see if it’s your cup of tea. It also has rock-your-socks artwork and awesome coloring. Hmm.. I should make a post on all the web comics I love and recommend. That’s be fun!

Time went by slowly

Listening to: "La belle dame sans regrets" - Chris Botti

I think I only have come to love jazz so much because of the influence from my dad, when he use to be really into it. Jazz is the epitome of class and luxury, if you ask me. When you listen to it, you can't help but think of a quiet, relaxing, chic restaurant.. or a lifestyle.

I spent most of today playing the Sims 3. I know, some people can't fathom what is so fun about such a game. But I've always been attracted to the idea of creating little people and seeing them interact, and just managing it all. I liked management games ever since I was little.

It was really disorientating, this morning, to come back from the airport after seeing Cristina off, and going back to sleep for another 2 hours or so. I swear I woke up thinking: Huh?

I don't have much to talk about at the moment. Just felt like posting something.

It'll surprise you .o.

Listening to: "You're so Fine (Hey Mickey)" - B*Witched
Forgive me, guys, but this song never fails to cheer me up! And it makes you want to dance in a silly way. So kudos to Mickey! /o/

I have come to notice that ever since this new year has started, now that I'm out of school and doing different things (kind of), many good and unexpected things have happened! Even without doing anything, I find myself pleasantly surprised. Nothing extravagant has happened -- it's the little things that make you smile more.

• A very good and close friend of mine, Cristina, who is now living in São Paulo, is coming to visit, and is arriving, coincidentally, today. Despite it only being, say... a month since I've last seen her, I miss her tons and I can't wait to see her!

• A couple of friends that I use to hang out with last year at school and the year before don't seem upset at all by the fact that I have been terrible in keeping in touch with them, and they still would like to see me! *o*

• People like me, despite me being me. (OK, this one's stupid, but it still never ceases to surprise me!)

Just little trivial things like that!

P.S. If you're wondering what manga this is on the banner, it's Bakuman. Awesome stuff, READ IT!

Bubble

I've been living in a bubble for the past week or two ever since I came back from traveling during the holidays. I mean, in a way I already have the tendancy to live in my own bubble already, but mostly in my mind. Now it feels really real since I haven't contacted any friends now that I'm back home-- in other words it's like I don't exist right now-- I'm merely floating around.

2010; I have to get use to saying that.
I'm trying to get rid of a cold I got from my dad-- see, that's what tends to happen when you take care of a sick person; you're bound to get it too! Not to say I wasn't super cautious... I'm that type of person that is close to fanatic about washing hands and things related, but I guess it wasn't enough! I probably was staying too many times in my dad's room, trying to keep him company.

I gotta go to bed. I feel like sleeping even though I slept for nearly 2 hours this afternoon as a "nap"!
See u later!

I'm back I think

Listening to: Celia - Tom Grant

If you like listening to piano solos, listen to Tom Grant. His songs are so beautiful and smooth. You know when someone plays masterfully once you feel the tug of every note in your "heart".

Miami was fun.It was strange to be there after such a long time, though. I almost thought the place was too empty. I kept on thinking, where are all the people? Because I live in a city where there's always people out and about, especially on foot, which is a rarity in the US I guess.

Sadly I could not enjoy Miami as much as I wanted to. We went to do our shopping mostly, and occasionally we went to a restaurant, but a lot of it was expensive. I was raining a lot as well, but thankfully it was only for an hour or two. I also got to the visit the college I was interested in (Miami Dade College), and by doing so I ended up asking for papers for another college (World School of the Arts), which is a parter of the of the other college.

I'm going to have to do a 10-20 page portfolio, and send it in hopefully by October or November. Unfortunately there are only so many dates available, so I'm going to have to call in and make an "appointment", I think... There's also the general application form to send in as well. I still have to fill that up.

I'm trying to have myself draw something for the portfolio without thinking to much about how it turns out (the drawing). I guess I'm nervous because I'm not the most talented in all the areas, and now I wish I had more practice.

I'm really tired, and for some reason, I'm not in a very good mood right now. So I'm going to take a shower now and hope that I don't wake up from my dad coming back.

Last minutes of freedom

I'm using my last couple minutes of freedom to blog quickly. It feels so good to have a computer to myself! See, almost 2 months ago, (or was it just a month ago?) my laptop died on me, officially. And I lost all that was on it too... I'm trying not think about that.

So today, my dad was able to set up our old PC for me, for the time being. It's so strange to type on these big keypad. I'm more prone to typos on this thing.

This year of school has been crazy. Almost everything I never let myself do as a student, I've let happen this year. My grades have gone down to some pitiful numbers, and I've gotten envious any possible person that is having fun.

I'm slowly getting out of that phase. I'm starting ot get motivated gaain. It's just been a struggle this year, to find the drive and will. The years before weren't that hard to make motivation with.

I'm glad I still remember my blogger password, or else I'd be screwed here too. .-.

I have good news, though. Vacation is starting in only 3 more weeks! I have only 2 more weeks which include testes on Saturday, and then I'm off the hook for a few more weeks! Thank god.

I swear, though, that these 4 months went by really really really fast. I seem to say that every year, but this school made me so busy this time, it's not funny.

It's nearly 9:30 and I need to go to bed x-x I was especially tired today because yesterday I stayed up really late at a friend's party, despite the fact that the party sucked in my opinion. It was supposed to be a late b-day party. The music for half the time was lame, too noisy. And yeah, mostly noise. I also couldn't get myself to be comfortable, 'cause there were so many people I didn't know.

The guy's there sure knew how to dance, though. There were some good-looking ones, too. But the one I had my eyes on had a girlfriend with him and he was plain scary anyway. You know how beauty can be intimidating. I say the more good-looking they are, the more scary it is to approach them. That's why cute is sometimes better.

I want to write, but I haven't had time. I'm thinking of writing a short story. Any suggestions on what? Give me theme!

Berlin-o

I'm currently staying with my mom in Berlin, Germany for two weeks. I flew ALONE and it was scary. But now I'm here dealing with the cold weather and hanging out with me Mom and soon with some of her friends and my sister. So if you're wondering what happened to me or why I don't comment or why I suck at keeping in touch with things, it's 'cause this trip has taken all my time, with planning and now I want to just spend time with my mom now.

Wish me luck. :D

It's bloody hot outside!

Seriously. I'm tempted to get my bikini top on. For now I just rolled up my shirt and made a knot. But anyway... Today has been frustrating so far. I went out to go to the Juizado de Menores, which is the place where you get permission, being a minor, for certain things, like in my case, for traveling outside the country. We had brought all the papers except a birth certificate. See, the smart people who made the new Brazilian passports decided to not put the parents names in it, so in other words, it leaves no proof that my parents are my real parents. So we simply had to go back home and hopefully today we'll be going back there to get it done and over with.

I was able to talk to a cute guy in one of the office booths, though. *-* I mean, I just needed to go back and ask a few questions, just to make sure that there wasn't anything else we need to do. But the man we talked to was on the phone, and the charming man on the table was kindly asking me if I needed anything, and so I asked him the questions and couldn't help but feel relieved afterwards, thinking Aaah, it was worth the frustration just now..

Yes, yes.. Silly me.

And now I'm wondering if I should stop this post now and get my things ready so I can maybe sleep over at Cristina's. But I'm feeling really lazy. I'll post some more in a few days when I don't have much. Or rather... anything to do. Because I don't have much to do, yet I have something to do. So yeah.

I miss my blog ;_; Oh, and I've gotten rid of my cold! YAY! And more thing--> I saw a awesome movie called Almost Famous, and it's just so cool and sweet and gaah I loved it. So funny too. You must watch it!

I suck at titles~

I'm almost better. I'm getting there, but I'm not totally cured. This bug that I've got has been really resistant, seeing that I've been sick since... well, for 2 weeks? Almost that.

It's been rainy, cold and wet these past few days. I forget that Salvador is a city where it can rain once in a while, and that's why it's so green, after all. While Fortaleza was in a place where it only rained during one time in the year.

As usual, during vacation I get back to working on "projects" that I seem to adore to neglect during the year. One example is a site that I'm making in tribute to a manga character, called Shin, from a manga called NANA-- which is by the way the most gorgeous, heartfelt, "emotional-high" lovely shoujo manga out there. Don't miss out!

So yeah, Shin's of course a pretty boy and I love him to death. You know how obsessions are! The tribute is called... wild horse. Cheesy, yes, but I love the fact that it's different.

Anyway, if you'd like to take a peek at, well, the "coming soon" sign I made for it, you can go here. You might not see the image at all though, 'cause I tried uploading and seeing it online now and it just won't show its face. But maybe it's just my goofy browser that's being stubborn. So take a look if ya like.

Just one more thing... (27th of Jan)

I forgot to mention this before, but our next door neighbor is an american!

Just this morning, though, after eating breakfast on the “porch” (that looks out to the yard), he overheard us talking as he was going out with his girlfriend—so before he left, he decided to take the chance and strike a conversation and introduce himself and his girlfriend. It was so cool!!

Not that I said much—mostly my dad was talking—but it was so cool! I miss americans, you see. So having one so close is so cool.

Ahem. His name is Tom, if my memory is correct—and his girlfriend (who is Brazilian) is Silvia. But I might just have to ask again next time.

Tom is teaches at an international school out of the city. He said he has lived here for 5 months so far, at the duplex next to us. We’re only staying for 2 months, though, until we find a permanent place… But he was all: “Neighbors for 2 months at least!” He said he’s from Wisconsin, and lived a bit in San Diego as well.

Sadly they were both wearing sunglasses. I don’t like it when people wear sunglasses while having a conversation with another person. It’s off putting to me, because it’s as if you can’t see their reaction, as if behind some mysterious mask—which is okay—but it makes me even more nervous than I already normally ‘am sometimes when talking to people.

Tom’s girlfriend even invited me along with them to go to the beach, but my dad and myself have some plans to go to do some errands… I felt bad saying no, but it would have been akward if I had went with them just now, either way.

Now that my giddy-ness has slightly weared off, I think I shall go play some KH: Chains of Memories. I’m in the land of Agrabah…and I will have to battle against the annoying Jafar. Aladdin was my favorite of all Disney tales—and it still has some sweet memories to me. ( I even own the movie “Aladdin & the 10,000 thieves” (or something like that.) on video cassete still, lol.)

This is another reason why Kingdom Hearts is so awesome. You get to almost re-live your childhood, if you happened to be a fan of Disney at the time. It’s so cute. <3 *has been acting like such a kid lately*

…Maybe I’ll have to go shopping already this morning. (Actually it’s nearly noon!) So.. yeah—I’m off!

I'm BACK.

--> Was written on the 26th of Jan, 10:30PM <---
I’m back, alive and well, but just a bit disoriented… my brain’s map may be out of whack for a bit. Yet here I am.

These past 2 weeks have been stressful. The 1st week was all packing, packing, and more packing, plus staying at a hotel for a few days, while finishing some final rental bills with the apartment. In other words, we were postponed for a few days. We wanted to travel on the 15th or 16th, but we only got out of the city of Fortaleza and on to the highway by noon, on the 18th, which means Friday.

It was a long drive. The first day wasn’t so bad, and actually it was kind of fun, despite the fact that my iPod Shuffle had no battery juice by the time we were on the road and the car was pretty stuffed with… well, stuff. We got at a hotel by the highway, around 6PM half way our route, and it was all find and dandy. The second day was a bit more tiring, and even though our goal was to arrive in Salvador at the latest 6PM the same day, by the time we were close by the biggest town from Salvador, my dad was getting impatient, stressed out, and moody. I was also a bit cranky—so we decided to stay in a hotel room there, and finally on Sunday, around 11:30AM we arrived in Salvador. Not necessarily in the main part of the city, but in the outskirts, so to speak.

It’s a beach town called Itapuã. There’s the beach, the highway lanes across the shore going to the main city, the town square, two mini malls, and then there’s the residential areas, and one fancy hotel. Just a bunch of expensive houses in little neighborhoods... Our place at the moment is a small duplex, situated in a closed development called “Pedra do Sal” (or so I think) and in that development there is of course, houses, yes, but also a small condominium where 10 duplexes are. We are in Mr. #9.

The neighborhood is very pretty, lots of plants and trees—plus the duplex next doors to ours is owner of tons of cats, plus one dog—and the funny thing is, is that on our first 2 days or so here, the cats literally came in the house a couple times to explore, if you just happened to leave any doors opens for them to get in. They’re darn curious, those guys. One time I was even watching a movie with my dad’s laptop with him, and all of a sudden my dad heaves a sigh, saying he thought he was seeing things when he saw one of the cats right next to the bed in his room—we were watching “A Beautiful Mind”. (Great movie btw!) …Sadly, so far I’ve only managed to pet one cat. It’s a bushy orange one, who seems to be the only one that’ll let me pet it—the other ones just shy away if you get too close.

Slowly but surely we have accomplished some things this week. In a matter of 2 or 3 days we got a phone line--- which was a pain in the rear to call for, just so you know, especially on a pay phone! We have ordered internet and cable TV a couple days ago as well, but it might just be a while till we get it. I’ll only have an answer on Monday.

On Wednesday, the moving company came here to drop off some boxes. They assumed they were to leave the whole darn load that came from Fortaleza, but we insisted it was a specific amount of boxes, with labels, and they just looked dumbstruck, saying nobody informed them of it (it figures)--- but anyway, it all worked out okay. They just had to go through the trouble of taking some things out of the truck to get some things we wanted out…

Did I mention that there’s a small yard and a mini pool? I went in there for the 1st time this morning, because it was too bloody hot today. Not to mention always since we got here.

Anyway, forgive me if I’m rambling a bit!

My room’s a mess, to say the least. Or maybe not—it’s simply a bit messy, untidy so to speak. Why? Because I’m too lazy to organize it and put things away and cleans closets and drawers, that’s why.. Which I know isn’t even an excuse, but nonetheless that’s the reason. I’ll get to it when I feel I can’t take it much longer, hehe.

Luckily, though, my room is quite bright, and has a window—not looking out on the street, sadly, but it looks out onto the back side of the house, which is okay, even if I just see a wall and a small part of the parking lot. It’s still a large window with some trees in view. My dad has a nicer bedroom in that sense, and has the view of the yard outside.

(Btw, I’ll have pictures soon.)

What else? Oh yes—it’s all very strange and surreal. Being here, that is. Having crossed 2 states by to get to another. Having come here where I basically know nobody… But I’m getting use to it.

…I’m not sure if I should be anxious or apprehensive to start a new school year. I think I’m feeling a bit of both.

Until today, I haven’t used my own computer, or truly any computer--except for one time in a LAN house for a couple minutes—so to occupy myself, I have discovered the joys of playing with my long ignored Gameboy Advance. I’ve been playing 2 games at the moment, one being Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and the other being Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories. The addiction to FFT had awoken again, but the constant missions get tiring after a while, so I switched to KH: CM since I can’t play KH on my PS2 right now… Might I add that I have truly become a KH addict? I always had a liking towards it, but ever since I played non-stop with my friend Cristina, I have become quite attached. Seeing that it’ll be a while till I have my PS2 functioning again, so that I could maybe complete the game 100%, so I could see the last bit I missed when I left Cristina’s place, I have decided I might as well start playing the next one—which is Chain of Memories, a pre-sequel to the actual Kingdom Hearts, or in other words, a small introduction to what is to come in Kingdom Hearts 2. Anyway, all I can say is I have made myself like it—KH: Chain of Memories, that is, ‘cause the battle system is not my favorite—yet since I really want more KH I must play it, and slowly but sure I’m getting use to the system of fighting, which is based on using cards and stuff. It’s sort of complicated and a bit of a pain—so yeah, I’m not very fond of it. But the pixel art is ADORABLE, just so you know! (Because it’s a MUST know kind of thing, ya see.) Not to mention the animated character’s head in the speech bubbles—so very animated and lovely. <3

Ahem. Yes—so I’m becoming a GAME BOY Advance fan once again. Hurray. It took long enough for my lazy bum to get back to it. :D

Aside from playing games, I also have been brainstorming ideas for my stories, or at least some of them, and ‘have realized that drawing different characters and possible scenes, or at least trying to—is good for such brainstorming—and when I can, I shall take pictures of the drawings, or scan them in so I can show them to you~.

It’s 11:08PM on my clock. I must go to bed. This post won’t actually be posted tonight (Sat. Jan 26th), I’m afraid. Hopefully tomorrow! But I hope you have had fun reading my jumbo post. I have discovered that I can focus better on typing up something when I’m not listening to music. Which is kind of sad, but oh well. v_v fllong awaited emoticon face! <3

…But just so you know (or maybe you are too bored and can’t help but read this last paragraph, lol), my favorite song right now is “One More Time” by Daft Punk. Pure sweet dance music. It was made to lift up your spirits. <3

‘Good night! ;9

Hopefully temporary.

We'll be separated from large masses of water and land for a bit, but hopefully soon we will be holding hands once more.

Dreaming is a beautiful thing. Let's dream sweet ones!

Laughter and tears were soon felt as we spun for several minutes on those spinning cups. Butterflies were felt in my stomach, as I held the hand of Cristina's-- we almost went on it again.

We truly only realize how much we cherish something once we must part. I just hope this departure won't be too long!

Anxiously waiting...

I feel strangely anxious and excited, as I wait for Cristina's call. Plans changed and I'm going to see her today, not tomorrow. Paula won't be able to come for now, but hopefully next week. My dad's out to get a massage at the beach, and I'm waiting, anxiously. I guess I'm just really excited and for whatever silly reason, a tad nervous. Or maybe I'm just excited. Yeah, that's all!

I packed my things in a rush, so maybe that's why I'm a bit nervous, being worried I may have not brought enough or that I might have forgotten something on the way-- or that something may go wrong. I'm just nervous.

Darn it, why do I have to be so nervous?~ I'm such a worry-wort. (Is that even how you say it?)
Anyway, I guess I'm going to watch an Indian movie I saw available on YouTube that's with Sharukh Kahn (like almost any Indian movie, lol)-- that'll probably cheer me up!

Btw, I'll most likely be gone for a couple days or so. So if I haven't appeared much, you know why.

Merry late Christmas!

Yay for Christmas, right? I did something a little different this Christmas. I had christmas dinner with a friend of mine, Paula, with her family, and since they had this funky custom that they actually stay up till midnight on Christmas eve, and then they say Merry Christmas, I ended up sleeping over-- even though I hadn't brought a thing in preparation. Among dinner and a icky lookin' turkey/chicken thing on the table (I was afraid some of it was going to fall in my plate!), there was also Secret Santa.

I gave Paula and her brother some gifts-- Paula got a cool picture frame, where you use the magnets to stick the picture on the frame, only the magnets are speech bubbles, and it comes with an erasable marker, so you can write stuff on it. Arthur got a pillow case, only a funny one-- where one side was white with an angel ring on it, and the other side was red with little white horns sticking out, lol. He laughed and liked it, thankfully.

I only went to bed at 5 AM. Or so Paula claims.. Crazy, I know! But for some reason I can't help but feel more awake at someone else's home-- especially if I'm excited, I guess.

My dad sadly had to work this holiday. So he stayed home. I kind of felt bad, but my dad claims he likes to be alone sometimes anyway.

P.S. The trip to Salvador was a success, as far as our main focus was concerned. I got enrolled to the school that I wanted-- the only thing I that'll be really different is that I won't be going to school in the morning, but in the afternoon, since the morning hours were all taken already. I think it'll be interesting. What's ironic is that I'll be going to school in the afternoon just when Paula and my other friends change to the morning shift!

I didn't get any presents... yet. Or whatever. And that's totally fine with me. I use to really make it seem important to me, to get a Christmas present, or rather, I really liked it a lot. Who doesn't, obviously. But now it's not that important that I get a presentnow. I already got so many things this year, so I don't necessarily need anything more at this very moment. Not that I don't stop wanting things, but I can wait.

What I actually consider my Christmas present to be is something I got before it. I got it at a bookstore in Salvador, at one of the malls. It's Jane Austen's Pride & Prejudice. I love it, although there are times where there's some witty argument that expands to 2 pages and I end up not understanding the point of the argument anymore. But that's only happened once so far. Despite that, I love it, and it makes me realize how the 1995 movie version of the story sticked so terribly much to the original. not recommend is the newest version of it, that features Keira Knightley. As much as I like her as an actress, I do not like this movie. The way the characters are put is too theatrical and awkward. So yeah-- you get what I mean.

Anyway, my plans for New Years, I think-- is to visit Cristina in Paracuru with Paula. My dad said okay, but I'm not sure about Paula's mom, especially if she founds out we most likely will be going with Cris & Co. by travel bus back to her place. I think it'll be fun, hoping it'll all work out. If it does-- the date planned is the 28th, or in other words this Friday. I must make a list on what I'm promising to bring so I don't forget!

Anyway, I'm going to ... catch up on my current manga, Hana Yori Dango! *manga addict*

'Been a while...

And I missed you. You know... I missed blogging with you, blog.

What's new, right? Well, I can say the following:
• I've been working on cielo-sereno.ORG! It's coming along, but I haven't finished it yet. Btw, take a look at the cute "coming soon" sign, hehe. ;p
• My addiction to reading manga has become stronger as I have no anime to watch anymore.
• I'm going to be flying on Thursday to Salvador to get myself enrolled into a school and stuff. Will be back home on Saturday night and online on Sunday.
• Here's a tiny peak at what'll be at the C-S.ORG.
Other than that, well, I can't say much has happened. But I have been busy helping my dad with planning the move... Ever since I started getting back to working on cielo-sereno.org, I can't seem to stop playing with Photoshop. It's so much fun, I have nearly forgotten! <3

Anyway, this post may have been hopeless in the end, but I just didn't want to leave it at the I'm the Doppler Effect, however funny it may seem for any new comer.

I'll try to talk about something more interesting and substancial next time. Now I have to go to bed.

A mouthful, haha.

My room is a mess. Books are not only spread on the desk, but also on the floor. Clothes are all over my closet (also on the floor). Nothing is organized. Not even my bed is made!

I have to catch up on my studies (including japanese classes). I have to study for up coming tests this week, plus do homework, and hopefully manage to do a written essay about something in Japan... 'Be ready to talk about it tomorrow and even (or better yet: still) study the test coming this wednesday which btw I have not studied for at all (I have not even memorized anything..)

Plus I have to somewhow catch up and learn the rest of my dance steps for the dance festival which just so happens to be this coming Sunday! And did I mention I miss 2 rehearsals? Why..?

Because my dad convinced me to skip 2 classes (aka 2 days of school-- 'though Friday was a holiday. 2 days=Wed + Thurs.) to go on a trip to Salvador! And I do not blame him. I don't regret going completely because in the end, I did agree and did enjoy it. Yes I did. T'was very fun indeed. (But that's another topic all together..)

Yet now I'm totally disoriented... which really sucks to say the least.

...Now my right foot is falling a sleep. Alas, 'tis the stressful (it's all relative, people!) life of a student striving to survive to survive this jungle we call... well, school!

And as you read this seemingly frantic message, you may think: Poor girl, so terribly stressed!

But I am not stressed! I am merely excited. Yes, excited.
Excited that so many things are possible and so many things may await! Things that must be conquered, accomplished, created, finished, blossomed...

No, I am not in love.

I just think that despite all the things, responsabilities I may have coming back from this trip, I feel strangely inspired and energetic, because of it.

Like when you feel a rush after drinking coffee. Only I don't like coffee. I just like the smell. Hmmm~ <3 It smells good.

I also feel extremely pleased to be able to finally not lose this kind of train of thought.
So yes.
RECAP of the past few weeks since I have been absent online is:

• The week before last week (aka the week before my trip), I experienced the fair I was talking about earlier. Or at least I meant to talk about it. But as you will find out now, if not before, that project that I had to do made living hell for me (at some times, that is), and I am more than relieved to have it done. More reasons as to why such hell was brought up shall be spoken of in another post/topic as well. (Although I had fun in the end, don't get me wrong~) Anyway! That week was also a bit crazy, as in one of those 2 days of the fair I was bored out of my skull... Or almost! As to why, that shall also be explained later, which much eye-candy to show off.

• Me and my dad's trip to Salvador was great. No doubt it's a beautiful city but like every big city, it's a bit crazy. Don't trust the first signs you see, sometimes. You might just make the wrong turn and get screwed for the next 15 or 5 minutes in traffic (especially in the evening.) All the wonderfulness of Salvador shall be seen and spoken of in another post.

• And yeah. That's the most resumed recap I can do since my last post.

But I can say that yesterday I arrived in the airport, back in Fortaleza around 7:30 PM. Or maybe almost 8:00 PM. 'Also nearly had a heart attack (me + me dad) because we though we had missed the flight back home. We finally run to the departure gate (which had no one in sight), only to tell us that the flight would be delayed a couple minutes due to another plane landing before them, so they had to search for our plane to land or something. Because of all that stress, I even managed to forget the water bottles at the security check up thingy... (Darn those security check-ups, I tell you!)

Today, though, I went to school like a good citizen, but in fear that my math teacher would discover I didn't do any of is excercises, nor had I brought my original math notebook... I was planning to say I forgot it all (my notebook that is), but thank goodness he didn't even bother demanding it today. I need to by Friday though.

Also today I filled out a form (I always seem to get nervous when I have to fill out forms, lol) so I can start voting at my current school building starting next year, instead of somewhere else. Voting, you say? Yes, in Brazil voting is obligatory once you're 17. At 16 it's still optional though. I wish it wasn't mandatory... like in the US.

So I think that sums up about what I have been up to.. Btw, I have 2 sort of recent posts on my writing blog to whoever is interested. :D

P.S. I wrote all this on darn paper, in capitalized letters, and now I just typed it all up... It's like writing it 2 times. Phew. x_x

LIKE THAT, YA KNOW.

Life is like a book. And like every book, it has its chapters.
This year, there were many pages, but today, I came to the last one...

Today was the beginning and ending of many things. For example, today was end of my last school year in Waldorf Micael. The end of the days where I'd see everybody I knew in my school, the end of the daily jokes, pranks, and the laughter with those certain people. My teachers, my classmates, all those familiar people. Now I won't see my friends at my next school next year. I'll have to make a new start... and hopefully be better than before.

The day started out with a apresentation of a small play from the 7th grade. After that, they also sang a song directed to our music teacher, Israel. After that song, almost everybody was in tears. Not only did my music teacher cry, but the 7th grade girls cried and my friends cried. We then apresentated a poem by Rudolf Steiner, the founder of the philosophy of our school, and recited the last verse that we always do in the morning. After that verse, that's when I was in tears! Talk about drama.

After that, I didn't cry anymore. I felt better. We went along, had our last Geometry class, ate ice-cream (last day celebration, haha) and had our after class recess/break. That's when we grabbed our school uniform T-shirt, a marker, and made everybody sign it! We were also able to wear black to school for once. Why did we wear black? To mourn. To mourn our losses!

As you can see, I took many pictures.

After recess, we organized all the things we had in our classroom over the years, making sure if there was anything we wanted to take home. While that was happening, we also took group photos. Say cheese!

The last class we had that day, it was replaced with an event we do every end of the year. I guess you'd call it a tradition. Basically, everybody in the school gathers in one place and hold hands. And there's a order to it all; it starts from the kindergardern to the 8th grade-- that's us. So we went through the whole school, being dragged across it, around it, and finally stopping in the sport court. That's where Raimundo, our founder, who just happen's to be also our History teacher, said a small speech, where in the end we would thank whoever it was that gave us the wonderful space that was the school, since we won't ever be able to go back to it because the school is moving to a different location. With saying that, he said-- let us have 1 minute of aplause. And that's what we did! We clapped for one whole minute. :)

After that, it was all hanging around, more pictures, smiles, tears, scribbles on shirts, teacher-hunting, and much walking around the school, as slowely but surely, people went back home.

But despite the goodbyes, it all brings new beginnings. Beginning of a new school, new social life, new challenges, and a whole new chapter. Hopefully I can make it to be fun in the end as well as the beginning of it. And you know what's better? I can still share it with the people I care for.

Brriiing it on, dude.
