I wish I had the talent to write like that...

Mood: Giddy
Listening To: Fantasy - Mariah Carrey

That’s one of the reasons I like Gaia so much. Not only is it entertaining, but such as in the art and writer's forum you can find people with such great talent. I was browsing the posts in “The Cranky Writers’ Guild” since I hadn’t posted in such a long time even though I’m a member, and I found another post that intrigued me. I am SO glad I clicked it. You must read this: The Raven King I love it to no end. (You, vpshinra, are an extremely talented writer.) Anyway, it doesn’t matter if you haven’t joined Gaia or aren’t a member of this specific guild. Just read the first post. You won’t be disappointed. Oh, then you can read my reply there if you look for the name “Haru-chan_”, which is my username. But it’s not necessary. Read the story, that’s what you’re supposed to read.

A movie I wanna see...

Ok, so there's this movie called Shark Tale in the theaters over here, and at first I didn't really have the urge to see it... but after just seeing the trailer, now I do.

First of all, it's done by the same studio from Shrek, and the animation is just amazing. Besides the animation, the voices are great. And besides, Will Smith is starring in it, and he tends to be funny. They even have some pretty funny jokes in the trailer.

The images above are from the trailer, I just played around with them in Photoshop. To anybody who has not seen the trailer, it's likely that nobody will understand what's happening there, becuase I just find it so funny.

...Okay, I just had to say something like that. Whatever, just label this under babbling material. I know, I know, I know! I said I would keep my rambling and babbling to myself, but I guess it's just uncontrolable. =)

My mother's schedule for myself?

Mood: Annoyed
Listening To: “Why is Love so Hard to Find?” – Jesse McCartney

My mom wants me to go to the gym with her. Recently she’s been going again every morning after breakfast, but she said that if I went with her we would go in the afternoon, since I have school in the morning. She said I could think about it… though I’m not sure I want to go. But I have the option to go and do Yoga with her, which is also at the gym, but it starts at night. She said I didn’t have to, but either way I would have to do something one of these days. So I can be among other people and not always in front of the computer.

I’m not thrilled about this idea, but I guess I have no choice, since I’m going to have to do something. It’s funny though, because when my mom mentioned that she’s gonna take me to the mall and put me in to some “hip” cloths, (because a lot of my cloths are really old) my dad said something along the lines of “good luck!” Speaking of cloths, my mom wants me to make an inventory of my cloths; so that I can take the old cloths that I don’t use anymore and give those to some people who have more need of it, because there’s a lot poor people here.

Okay, on an un-related subject: There’s a holiday here in Brazil -- which is tomorrow -- and it’s like the opposite of father’s and mother’s day. It’s kid’s/children’s day. Weird, I know. But it’s sort of cool, too. Even though I don’t expect a gift or anything. I’ll wait for Christmas for those, heh.

My progress on writing, and other things.

Mood: Talkative
Listening To: “Timeless” – Justin Guarini & Kelly Clarkson.

Okay, okay. I’ll keep my mindless/pointless rambling to myself. No need to be alarmed. I’ve decided this because when I look back at the old posts/entries, they look really stupid. I definitely do not want to look stupid, thank you very much. Instead I think I’ll either talk about my daily doings or my writing… or something else. I really don’t know.

Man, the time is going way too fast. It was just Monday and now its Saturday. And it’s already October! Only two more months till Christmas… But still, I wish it wouldn’t go so quickly. I mean… I know I can’t avoid it, but sometimes things just tend to become more complicated that way-- more stressful. Especially in school, school’s been a bit of a pain. It’s true, I’m not arguing as much as I use to, and I’m putting more effort in my work. But still… it doesn’t change my feelings towards it. In the end it’s a pain.

Okay, let’s not talk about school. Let’s talk about… my stories! Ok, so I don’t have so much to say, but I got a bit of a break-through for both of the stories I’m working on. Remember when I mentioned this one story that I was planning in the late 1800’s? Well, like I mentioned in an earlier post, I have finally figured out the plotline/plot. Besides that, I also thought up a new character, which I expect to play a big role in the story, other then the two main characters – Jasmine Betrum and Adrian Simton. His name is Lawrence Price. You could say his last name is a pun because he is very rich. But it wasn’t on purpose, I just couldn’t think of anything that fit better with his name. I like his first name especially. “Lawrence” sounds French. Is it?

(NOTE: Do NOT steal my characters, and do NOT steal their names. They are rightfully copyrighted to me, unless someone has already used them before me, which I highly doubt. So keep your wits alert. And don’t even think of using them.)

Now, remember the fantasy story I once was talking about? Now, do you remember me mentioning that it would be about dragons? Well, I decided that but I didn’t know what the dragons’ role in the story would be exactly. The only thing I knew was that they would be a big conflict in the story. But now I have thought of this: they will have a conflict with others, but what kind? I still haven’t answered that question completely, but I do know that it is a conflict that relates to everyone, and it is somewhat like a racial war. In my opinion, the dragons are one of the most powerful fantasy creatures. And because of that, in my story the dragons have great power over the other races. But that is all of the past (in my story). In the current time of the story, the dragons live quietly alone (there are very little of them left), and the other races live peacefully as well. But as the story progresses, strange things start to happen, and slowly things are being destroyed. Supposedly the dragons are in power again, but why? Why so suddenly break the peace? That is one of the questions of the story, and even I haven’t decided why that is. But this is not all the story will be about; it just plays most of it. (NOTE: Again, do NOT steal my ideas or characters. They are rightfully copyrighted to me.)

Okay, I know I will sound weird saying this, but what I just said… about the dragons and all, that helped me. I didn’t have that idea in my head before. I just knew the dragons would be important. That’s what’s so cool about writing down your thoughts and ideas, because they might just evolve in to something else completely different. And all by accident!

All right (I use “okay” way too much), I think I’ll go downstairs and see what my parents are watching. It’s getting sort of creepy up here. Not really, actually. I just want to go downstairs, lol. See ya!

A girls rambling on... entertainment.

Mood: Excited...
Listenting To: “Stop” – Spice Girls

I’m kind of bored and I have the right to write just about anything here… so that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I forgot to mention some stuff from the last post entry, and that is what I shall talk about today. But it’s possible I’ll end up rambling about something else, too. J

Let’s start talking about E-bay. I know, weird way to start. But that’s how I got the chance to buy a certain little console called PlayStation 2, with some games, too. Actually, it wasn’t me that got it, though. It was my Dad that did. One night I was saying goodnight to my parents and my Dad invited me to watch him bid on E-bay. There was only a couple minutes left for the bid to end, so I ended up staying till it finished. As you should have guessed already, he was bidding on a PS2 (for short) with some games to go with it. He ended up winning the bid. So now I’m anxiously waiting for the delivery to arrive all the way here. J I can’t help but feel so spoiled. I mean… someone doesn’t just buy that on the spot. Anyway, I shouldn’t be complaining, I should be grateful… and I am. These are the games I am looking forward to, the ones that are coming with the PS2 (among others):

Final Fantasy X. I’ve known about this game for a while, and it just looks so tempting. Unfortunately, you can’t find it here, even though you can find Final Fantasy X-2, the sequel. “It’s a year old, ” the people at the game store said. Which for them means it’s out of fashion or something, so it’s not in stores anymore. Anyway, I’m supposed to be talking about the game… not where you can’t buy it. First thing that intrigues me about this game is the story, and the characters, which are all so beautiful. Second, those CG sequences in the game that just blows you away. (I couldn’t resist but download some on my computer.) The little graphic I made above is from one of those CG sequences, which features Tidus and Yuna, who are the main lead characters. Another things that’s cool about this game is that the characters speak!

Final Fantasy IX just happened to be in together with the rest. It doesn’t look so bad. Not from what I’ve seen on websites, anyway. The graphics are a little on the iffy side, but otherwise it looks okay. I don’t have anything much to say about this game, except that I’m curious about it. It wasn’t one of the games that I was interested in at the beginning. I’ll just have to find out by myself if I would like it once it gets here. The characters look interesting, though. Oh, and above is one of the main lead characters of the game. She’s a princess, hee-hee.

This game looks somewhat interesting. It has a long name, though. “Final Fantasy VIII.” I don’t remember what “VIII” stand for in roman numerals. Like I said, it sounds interesting, but I have to admit the graphics suck big time. (No offense to the ones who like it.) What attracts me is the story, and this mysterious guy, Squall Leonhart. What’s with that scar? It’s probably a bad memory from his dark past, heh. Um, I can’t deny that I’m not exactly looking forward to this game, it just happened to be in there too. It might be interesting, though. Who knows!

As a side note, I saw some movies on the weekend and I felt like sharing with you guys (if any of you). Here’s what I saw:

“Back to the Secret Garden” was a nice movie. It was cute, and it turned out good. I mean, so it wasn’t my idea of a sequel to the “Secret Garden,” but it wasn’t bad, it was good. The actors played well, and I thought the younger actors played especially well. It was sort fairy-tale like in my opinion. But I guess that’s just the theme in most of those kinds of movies, especially if they’re normally for a younger audience.

I have to say, that at the beginning I was a little skeptical about the movie. The beginning wasn’t funny, but once Elle got to Washington, that’s when it picked up its regular style: funny. I like the movie, just not the beginning. I thought the whole idea of finding and saving Bruser’s (Elle’s dog) mother was a bit over-done. But, oh well. What can we do? Otherwise I liked the movie. It was fun to watch. But not the beginning, that was bad.

I have to say that this movie was not as I expected. The trailer told differently, anway. It wasn’t really bad, but it wasn’t that good either. It was kind of boring in my opinion. The actors played well, I guess. The story was a little fairy-tale like in way that was not to my liking. I couldn’t help but like the ending, though. Even though it was a bit silly. It was the song’s fault! (I’m not making any sense…)

Okay, I have to go. I have some homework and I haven’t done it yet. Terrible, I know. I couldn’t resist the tempatation to do it later! So since I haven’t done it yet, I better get cracking right away. See ya! (Hope you were amused.)
