Yep.

Hey there, all you... bored readers out there. Sorry I've been so absent. I've been busy with school but also partly lazy to post anything. But now I've got some juicy news for you guys, if you guys were wanting any.

I have burned my hand.

I am not kidding here! Last night I was pouring some very hot soup in one of our containers (that just happens to be all made out of metal) that we use for the offering, and guess what happened next? The container got way too unbearably hot that I just had to somehow tilt it in shock so that some of its very hot content spills on the side of my hand. I immediately tried to put it down as fast I could and dash to the sink and run cold water over it. Luckily the sink was only two steps away (that is the convenience of a small kitchen). But the pain was excruciating.

My dad came to see what was happening, and he decided we had to go immediately to the pharmacy and ask for some stuff to treat it with. So we went, even though I was really reluctant to leave the sink because my hand would burn even more once I took it out of the water. But I had no choice. They gave us this cream and a packet of bandages and we went home. Luckily when I moved around with my hand, it didn't burn as much. It only really hurt when I kept still.

But to make a long story a little short, from then on I just kept it under the sink and took a couple breaks and after a while it didn't burn as much. We didn't put on any cream or bandages, mostly because we both agreed it was better not to, since my skin was really sensitive and the cream my just irritate it. My dad looked on the interent about burns and from the discription, my burn is only what you call a 2nd degree burn. So it's not that serious as my dad had thought it was when he first saw it. A 3rd degree burn would have to be deep enough to see the flesh, and this is not the case.

So we left it as it was, and it's got a lot better since last night. Sure, it's still a burn and some layers of skin came off (plus I got some blisters), but very little. Now it's just sore and emitting this yucky yellow-ish water which is ironically coming from my body. (Ew.)

As you can see, it wasn't my right hand. Thank god, 'cause then I'd be pretty much completely disabled. And then I wouldn't be able to type right now! So... yeah. This better not prevent me from getting haircut this weekend. T_T

Omigosh you burned your hand! WHOA. That must hurt you so bad! You poor thing! Oww. I've got tiny burns before, so a 2nd-degree in which it actually shows in the skin, sounds awful.

I hope it gets better soon! And I'm glad you can still type. ^_^ That is good.

I can imagine the panic, the scene of you washing your hand, and the bowl tipping. Gotta watch out for those hot bowls! Careful next time.

Lol, you made me laugh with the little (ew) after the yellow waterish description (it does sound kinda ewy, but it's just funny the way you said it).

I hope your hand feels better! Your hair looks fabulous.

Nice quote at the end! I've heard that one before. It makes sense.
