Burn, baby, burn.

Feeling: burnt
Listening to: "Feelin' You" - Jesse McCartney

I haven't burnt myself this bad in a while. Seriously! My legs, arms, shoulders, upper back, hands are all pink. Like sunburns do. I guess I over did it at the beach today. Or today in general! As I type, I am wearing shorts and the least bit of clothing on top, which is a bra, 'cause it's just that bad and hot on my skin. Good thing it's sort of cool tonight.

Aside from frying myself, I went to the mall with my dad after lunch. He helped me choose an elegant, but nice simple dress for the fancy party'll that will happen on the cruise. Then he helped me pick out some jewelry that would look nice with it. The last thing I needed to get was some high heels. I got some very simple ones, short but high heels nonetheless. Mind you, I really need to practice walking in them... Thank goodness my dad has good taste, or else I'd be lost in what to get for such things!
Sometimes I wish I had my own money so I could buy things for my dad. Just to repay him somehow for all that he's done for me.

I'm tired now. Today was an active day... for my normal weekend. What's for later? Darn, I have homework to do tomorrow.

New layout~

Whipped this up yesterday evening and finished it today. It's featuring a manga/anime called NANA, a completely wonderful story that relates to real life... Um, yeah. That's basically it. I'm not sure if I'm satisfied yet with the colors of the links and stuff, so that may change later... ;p

'Hope ya like it, readers (Chai especially!).

Short stories can really give a better effect.

Feeling: talkative
Listening to: "Imperecível" - Luxúria

The trip's almost here! The trip which I have not even mentioned here for the past uh... loads of months. It's a trip on a small cruise ship where we shall travel to a popular turistic island called Fernada de Noronha and travel for 4 days. I'm only going because it'd be my first time going on a ship, and my class is going. I don't wanna waste my chance to spend the last couple weeks with the people I probably won't see for a while. Especially my friends. Anyway, it's coming in a matter of one more week I think. Novemeber 9th. 'Can't wait!

Last week was the beginning of Literature class, and it's awesome so far. It makes it even better when the teacher who's doing it is Liliza, my English teacher, and private Portuguese teacher, mwahaha. She rocks. (I can't believe I said "rocks" just now.) We're learning of pretty much learning about any literature you could think of. First was poetry (I had to do a sonnet!), then epic stories, some in prose, some in poems, and now... it's theatre? I'm not sure. I'll see Monday. All I know is the homework I get from that class is all yummy stuff. Like for this weekend, we were given a small book of short tales (not necessarily fairy-tales), and were given one to read and then talk about it in class. Of course, I read pretty much all in the book, lol.

One story was really freaky, though. It was about a guy who wanted to get revenge on his ex-girlfriend who is now with a rich man. Sounds simple, right? Just the way he did it was so creepy and creepy! Seriously. o__o Like, he locks her into a small chapel where they bury dead family members and says "Here you shall see a beautiful sunset, my angel. Good night." And then the end described that he walks away, out of the abonended cemitery, and on the side, you can see children happily playing, and as he slowly walks away, he could hear inhumane screams, slowly but surely, becoming more soft until they stop. And I didn't even mention the way he got her there!

Yesterday I went out to the mall with Ana Paula for the first time in a long time. We watched "Hoodwinked". At first me and Ana Paula thought it was going to be in subtitles, but it ended up being dubbed in portuguese, which kind of sucked. But it wasn't so bad as I thought it was going to be after the beginning, where I started seeing Red Riding Hood with big huge eyes and doing karate. Only after the mad wood-chopper dude came out breaking the window and yelling like a maniac did I actually realize this could be a funny movie. And it was. For me, since I laugh easily even at the most obvious jokes sometimes. I don't think Ana Paula chuckled as much as I did, but I liked it. There were some silly/goofy parts, but it was enough to make you laugh a little, so it wasn't totally regretful. We later saw Mariane, a friend of Ana Paula, with some friends of her. She just briefly chatted with her and then we left. 'Also saw 4 to 5 girls from my school. Julia, one of the girls from 7th grade, she's odd. She just all of a sudden (while I was obliviously talking with Ana Paula) squeezed us together in a so-called-hug and then said hello. Then she decided to stay and chat. Luckily my dad came just in time to pick me up, hehe.

Me dad and me then stopped at the movie rental place and ended up renting Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. What made it hilarious in my mind at first was that the villian, you know, the sheriff, he's the same actor who does Snape in HP! I still haven't finished watching it... But the guy who plays Little John: I have never seen such GORGEOUS blue eyes!! I could look at them the whole time. XD I think he goes by the name of Nick Brimble.

I'm starting to become bored by this layout... Should I change it? Um, I think that's all I can think of talkin' about. Been a while since I've typed so much. :D

Off with the... hair!

Feeling: cool
Listening to: "Time & Confussion" - Anberlin

For a very long time, I've been wanting to cut my hair again. Eventually I decided to cut it sometime after I was done with play duties. I wanted something short... I found a magazine full of interesting cuts, and eventually picked one I liked. Today I went to the hairdresser, showed the guy the picture, and he did something like it. It may have not come out as a repleca, but similar enough that I like it. :D

It may come out looking a bit different after a couple days, since these pictures were taken shortly after coming from the salon. So expect some curling after a while. What do you think? I love it! (Though I'll have to get use to the change.) I love the light-ness. You know what this makes me think of? Fujioka Haruhi from OHSHC! Ahem. No, I don't do cosplay..

P.S. A doodle I did a couple days ago. No, it isn't me! Seriously.

Words of no meaning.

Feeling: creative? strange? random?
Listening to: "Invincible" - Jesse McCartney

Honestly, I don't know what this is supposed to be. I was in bed, pretty much ready to go to bed, when I all of a sudden had an urge to write, so I grabbed the nearest notebook and a pen (for the first time). It started with a girl looking through a window. Before I knew it, I was seriously talking gibberish. So please don't expect this to make any sense whatsoever.

She looked through the window...
And what did she see?

Porcelain dolls of snow white walked in crowds through the city, the sky was a turbulent ocean of deep blue, the clouds of smoke... Rain pitter-pattered down her glass window with its frame of oak wood. A raindrop, cold like ice, fell upon her cheek and then her hand, oh-so delicately... Through those raindrops that filled her eyes to the brim, she looked through her glass window. A world of hate, a world of love, a world of chaos, a world of everything bitter, sour, and sweet.
Oh such a world,
such a girl,
such a life.

...By yours truly at 10PM. >:D

A day...

Feeling: creative
Listening to: "Kiseki" - BoA

A scene of two characters having a ride in their private carraige one Saturday morning to go to a funeral...I think. A scene that's been in my head for a while... This is just a bit of it, so it probably doesn't sound finished.

It was a day like almost every other. We both sat in the carriage that was supposed to be called “luxurious”. I observed the silk curtains with embroidery of lace that adorned the windows, and touched the cushioned seat with exquisite patterns. It was soft, but I did not feel comforted. How could I, when I had to be sitting next to him? This ride was no luxury to me.

I looked to the serious man the that was my husband. He looked straight out to the window. He knew I was looking, I could tell. But he did not turn his head. I knew him well enough to expect that. I examined the back of his head for a moment. All that was to see were those gorgeous chocolate colored locks. Sighing inwardly, I decided to follow his suit and turn to the window beside me. I rested my chin on my hand as I looked upon the pine trees and pastures outside. The sun was bright outside, shining like its first happy day on earth. I sometimes wondered why I couldn’t be like that ball of light. There was a time where I was… but many years ago it was.

2nd act. Fim!

The second time we performed the play... It came out loads better, and much more comical. I had fun throughout the whole play pretty much. Especially when I played my role as a jealous shepard girl. She's fun to play as.

It is such a relief to think I won't have to look back at that play script. But I'm going to miss it. I admit and realize that now, only after it is all done. It was a challenge, and it feels great to have accomplished it. I can sleep in peace tomorrow, knowing that next week I won't have any school.

Much more people came to today's play in comparison to yesterday's. But even, so it wasn't completely full. My dad managed to get a seat in the front row and filmed pretty much the whole play. Bummer that the camera died before the last 5 minutes of the play... Oh well. All we did then were the last bits of the end and sang a song and bowed to the audience, and after our teacher was given a boquet and she introduced all the students/actors. Then I had to go around with a hat to ask for donations, lol. Made me think remember of my initiation in Badger...

Anyway, I loved it all. It was worth it, despite the complaints and woes coming from me. I don't regret doing it all. <3

P.S. Once my dad gets what he filmed from the camera, to the computer, I plan to post it here!

First act.

Feeling: happy
Listening to: "What You Waiting For?" - Gwen Stefani

I got at the theatre at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, somewhat relaxed. Once everybody arrived and we started to rehearse, I started to get a bit anxious. We rehearsed the whole play quickly-- but we would have to do it again, only with an audience and the outfits. I dreaded it. But despite that, as people started to come, and we got ready, I wasn't as anxious as I had been hours ago. I was more excited than anything. After the regards of our teachers, the curtain was opened, and the light was brought into the dark space. The first step into the beginning was a thrill.

Yes, there were times where we forgot our cue, messed up on our lines, and I forgot some of mine, but we got through it with a good couple of applause. We were welcomed and congratulated with many hugs. One of my favorites was the hug of my dear English teacher.

It's a relief to say I've done it finally. But there's still tomorrow. Tomorrow, a new opportunity to... maybe tell a better story. 'Wish me luck! ;)

Let's face the facts (warning, fangirl rambling)

Feeling: fangirly
Listening to: "Rich Girl" - Gwen Stefani

I simply adore Tamaki! He is just so adorable! I just wanna to squeeze him and pinch his cheeks and thank him for being so cute and... adorable. <3 His ego is the size of an air-baloon, and yet he's so kind hearted and easily touched to tears by the most simpliest things. But with that ego of his, he's really dense. Which makes him even cuter! He is just such a funny character. It makes me sad to think Ouran High School Host Club has finally finished. But the ending was awesome and I'm sort of satisfied with it. I'm going to really miss Tamaki and Co., though. But of course, I shall watch the series again on YouTube, mwahaha.

This layout is in tribute to the ending of OHSHC, and Tamaki. I'll probably make another OHSHC layout some time soon. <3

Short story: "Wilston"

Listening to: "All of Your Love" - Hellogoodbye

This is a small story that I wrote for school a couple months ago. I had to think of something fast, so a "extremely blah + simple" story came to mind. I can't say I love it, but it's okay. Just found it laying around in my computer folders and decided to share it... (Btw, I made the ending a cliffhanger on purpose, since I wanted to finish it quickly...) There may be grammar errors.

There was once a small village in the country side called "Wilston". Rumors say that it was filled with weird folk, and at night it was completely deserted. All the while you heard strange noises. People said it was haunted.

Any traveler with a his marbles still intact wouldn't dare ask anybody where all the people at night went. Why? Simply because they were right scardy cats who were afraid of the dark.

That is what John Bakes thought, anyway. He was a traveler himself, but a daring one. He loved to travel to the wildest places. And Wilston seemed to be the talk of town, so now it was #1 on his list. He packed his things and set out one dawn morning, only a few things in hand.

Several days passed. He stayed at a couple inns, and after a week, he was there. The shabby sign in front of him read "Welcome" in crooked letters. It was almost coming off of its handle. Bakes shrugged and walked past the sign into the town. It was around lunch time, so he scouted for the closest diner.

The sight of a traveler must had shocked the locals, because they could not stop staring. The all looked at him closely, taking everything in.. his clothes, his proud way of walking, all the way to his face, to his brown hair, his blue eyes-- any detail did not pass them.

When he entered the diner, all the hussle and bustle of the people inside quieted down immediately. He ignored it, while aproaching the bar he grabbed a chair and sat down and made his order. All the while, people stared.

Bakes rented a room in the only inn available. The woman at the desk was , to say the least, surprised, for a costumer hadn't come in ages. He was the only costumer staying.

Poor Bakes for the first time on his travels could not go to sleep. He layed in his bed and started at the ceiling, as he listened to the shutters creak in the howling wind. After a while he gave up and decided to do a little exploring. After all, that is what he came here for. To discover if the rumors were true after all.

He walked outside of the inn, and he was surprised at what he saw. The town was still awake at this hour. So it was not how the rumors had said.

Bakes strolled through the street, peeking through the various shops and bars. The lights were all on, and plenty of people were inside the buildings. For the first time they all ignored him, as if he didn't exist. He frowned and decided to turn back. But upon turning, he felt a strong gust of wind. The lights, as if candles alight, seemed to have been blown off. And imediateley, it was pitch black.

All the man could do was squint in the darkness as he breathed hard, trying not to panic. This part wasn't in the rumors. It was deathly quiet and Bakes could not hear any footsteps.

"Is anybody there?!" He seemed to be shouting to the air. He regretted speaking afterwards. Bakes could feel warm breath on his neck. The next second, something hit his head hard, and he was out.

After what seemed like hours, Bakes woke up with pain in his head. A headache from hell, no doubt. He blinked in what seemed like darkness at first, but after a while his vision started getting clearer. Once he could see completely, he found himself in the woods. It was dawn already. He found a blanket on top of him. He thought for a moment, trying to remember what had happened before.

Bakes frantically got up as he remembed. Nobody was around. Should he run? As he took a step foward, a voice behind him stopped him in his tracks. The voice had a chuckle to it..

"Well now, I see you're awake. Welcome John Bakes, you have been chosen."
