Death Note is no doubt a complex story. It's the type of story that challenges you to continue, teasing you. With every episode, it gives you another reason to be curious about what could happen next. And with every episode, it bets even higher. Basically, the story gets even more interesting and exciting as the story unravels. I don't think I've ever watched or read such a... serious story. Angel Sanctuary, although claiming to be dark, is much more humor-filled, and is no comparison to Death Note. Death Note has more of an effect simply by the fact that its setting is set in what we would call our daily life. In other words, it has... more of a effect. Gah, here I am repeating myself!
Despite those facts... I can't help but like the story. The characters are realistic and human-like, in some cases, as freaky as that may sound... Especially if you get to know one of the main characters, Light Yagami, a twisted, extremely clever, manipulating high school teenager. I don't think I'd be still following the story if it wasn't for the fact that it is so intriguing and... intriguing? Captivating?
What I think I am trying to say is.. wow. This is some story! Creepy, freaky, but awesome nonetheless.
Changing the subject a little, I don't think I have made so many screenshots to fill half of my desktop in a while. Seriously! Death Note has some really nice artwork. <3

Speaking of being intrigued, I am very, very intrigued now! This was one of the titles that I was looking at on Amazon.com last week. The plot did sort of interest me, but I think I strayed away from it because it sounded quite complicated.
The screenshots you have are lovely. Looks like this seires has some great artwork! I find it ironic that you mention it, because this girl I bumped into at BOrders while in Visalia for Thanksgiving, recommended it to me. She was the anime club at my highschool and seemed to list it as a yaoi title...but you like the series, to eh! Must be more to it than that. Interesting.
I will go back on Amazon.com and look "Death Note" up again...dark stuff, oooh!
