I've been thinking. I've been wondering. Wondering and thinking.
How am I supposed to pretend that I'm surprised when my mom comes to visit me for my birthday in a couple days? It was supposed to be a surprise, but my dad thought it would be more fair if I was prepared before she was here. Since... well, it's my mom, 'haven't seen her in a while-- it's complicated, basically. Anyway...I'm a terrible actress, even worser when I know I'd be playing a big fat lie. So how in the world am I going to do this? Besides. At first when I found out that mom would be coming to visit, at first I was excited (I found out yesterday lol), but now I'm starting to get kind of scared. I mean, nervous-- freaked out-- whatever.
Another question I've been asking myself is... If I should participate on YouTube. I visit the place a lot, mostly to watch anime or listen to music, but recently I came across some people's accounts who all they do is talk. They talk on videos. About themselves, their opinions, interests, life, whatever it may be. And they're not total idiots talking about total nonsense.
I know, it's kind of stupid! Afterall, isn't a blog the same thing? But for some reason, making videos sounds fun. I'm craving for new hobbies, something to get me pumped-- lately I've been lacking that. Then again, I'm afraid I won't have the guts to post any videos. At least not with my face on it (what to speak of talking), although in the end, you'll just be talking to yourself... Plus, I don't think my dad would be so keen on it.
But even so, the desire still lingers. Should I go for it, or shouldn't I? That is the question, lol.

I myself have a YouTube account but don't necessarily plan to upload any videos. College friends and I once considered making a Romeo and Juliet video, but now those 2 friends have fallen out with each other, so it's not going to happen. Alex and I are planning to one day re-enact the fight between Peter and the White Queen, Jadis, from Narnia. So if we put that on video, I'd certainly upload it on my YouTube account.
Mostly though, I use YouTube to favorite videos, to get in touch with friends and share videos. So you can get an account and use it like that, and it would be harmless.
That's great that your mom is coming to visit for your birthday! Wow you are getting older. HOw old are you turning? I feel bad that I forgot, I should have remembered you are a May girl.
I am sorry you are nervous about it. I think maybe your dad should have not told you, so it could remain a surprise. I know what you mean by being a bad actress; I get uncomfortable when I lie, so it's hard to pull off. I think though you should just try to act surprised, or not - even if you say your dad told you, why would your mom really mind? - and think of her visiting positively. It's been a long time since you've seen her! Wow, that is going to be SO great you seeing her again! :D Tell me how it goes, and try not to worry.
